Many homeowners and speculators bring me in to work on Craftsman Home remodels and restorations in the San Marino, Pasadena, South Pasadena, and San Gabriel Foothill areas. Each home is so unique in character. The details are so interesting and really pull the whole house together.
Many of my clients have a strong design sense and vision of how they would like their remodel to look, including materials they would like to use. They often go out of their way to hunt down special items like doorknobs, latches and light fixtures that make the remodel stand out.
Sometimes there are small areas with tight square footage and odd angles. We work together to come up with satisfying solutions. Sometimes it involves a bit of carpentry, other times addressing how to position materials in a way to make things fit just right.
In this particular Craftsman Home project we turned a tiny attic space into a bathroom, complete with a shower and claw foot tub. Custom woodwork built into the room’s slope helped to carve out some extra storage space.
Taking time and care to restore and elevate the look of a Craftsman Home is a wonderful experience, whether you work on one, live in one, or drive through a neighborhood full of them.
